The Pla de l’Estany is located in the heart of Gerona counties, being a crossroads between the mountain and the sea, between green and blue hues. This extremely privileged geographical location makes the area a strategic spot to discover northeast Catalonia without spending too long travelling.

Besalú:
Bordering the north of the Pla de l’Estany is Besalú, declared a national artistic-historical heritage site thanks to its great architectural value. The Miqvé or Jewish Purification Baths, the Romanesque bridge, the church of Sant Pere, the parish of Sant Vicenç, Sant Julià, etc, are the legacy of a millenary history still able to be discovered today.
