Concerned with the quality of meat, CARNS TRIAS SL and sheep farmers and breeders in the Pla de l’Estany came together and created the commercial brand BONXAI® over a year ago. The aim is to allow consumers the ability to enjoy top-quality lamb’s meat. What is Bon Xai? BONXAI is meat from regional sheep breeding, fed on local pastures that are characteristic of the Pla de l'Estany and following traditional grazing methods in the area. BONXAI is bred in a natural way: the lambs feed from their mother’s milk from birth to slaughter. The solid feed is top-quality with no industrial by-products, additives nor growth enhancers. All the farms where BONXAI is produced are known in the region and comply with regulations demanded by the European Union.
